PIPELINE STUDIES

Pipeline Integrity Studies

Corrosion Growth

·  Identification of active corrosion growth areas ·  Estimation of corrosion growth rates
·  Reinspection interval and remnant life analysis

The most common threat for pipelines, corrosion, is also the most time dependent. For this very reason, we provide corrosion growth assessments to aid operators in mitigating and managing time-sensitive threats.

Dent Strain

· Detailed dent strain assessments
· Fatigue risk assessments
· Repair recommendation summaries

Depth alone isn’t the most reliable indicator of dent severity, as industry resources prove that local strain caused by a dent gives a more effective determination of the threat posed. We can provide dent strain analysis on any dents identified in the ILI report.

Bend Strain

· Detailed bending strain reports
· Assessment of strain exceedance
· Repair recommendation summaries

Shifting terrain and other geological phenomena have the potential to cause unusual or unexpected bending of the pipeline. We supply bending strain analysis to determine levels of strain and whether they exceed international Code criteria.

Pipeline Movement

· Quantification of pipeline movement · Movement   risk assessments
· Repair recommendation summaries

Certain areas of pipeline installation are more prone to potential geohazards, capable of compromising integrity. We are here to assist in state-of-the-art pipeline movement with IMU navigation, determining the change in trajectory between successive XYZ mapping inspections.
